  • A patient [age and sex not stated] experienced pain while receiving thyrotropin-α. The patient had follicular thyroid cancer with multiple skeletal metatases. The patient received radioactive iodine therapy. Thyrotropin-α was administered via IM injection with two doses of thyrotropin-α 0.9mg. Following the first administration of thytropin-α, the patient developed severe pain [time to reaction onset not stated]. The patient received analgesics and steroids with relief of pain. Six months later, the patient received a second administration of thyrotropin-α. The patient developed severe pain again. Spinal decompression was required for pain relief.
