Webinar Description
As more and more research supports the therapeutic properties of essential oils – antiviral, antifungal, immunostimulant, anxiolytic, expectorant, carminative, sedative, etc. – they are making their way into hospitals and hospices for complementary use for a variety of symptoms: feelings of sadness/despair, muscular aches and pains, constipation, edema, anxiety, respiratory issues and even wound care odor. When establishing a vibrant aromatherapy program, there are a number of important considerations: How is it determined what symptoms will benefit from aromatherapy? What qualifications, training, certification and level of expertise is required? What, if anything, can you do if you don’t have a trained aromatherapist on staff? This Webinar will discuss ways to incorporate aromatherapy into your hospice, whether you’re starting from scratch and need direction or have experienced aromatherapists and want to expand the program.
